Bengaluru-Davangere direct flybus service launched from Kempegowda International Airport

A new direct flybus service connecting Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, and Davangere was flagged off on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) at 10:30 am from Terminal 2. The service, operated using Volvo multi-axle buses, also introduces complimentary Nandini product snack kits for passengers.
Addressing the event, the Transport Minister, Ramalinga Reddy highlighted that during his first tenure as transport minister, the state had launched Bengaluru-Mysuru direct Flybus service in August 2013. Subsequently, the service was expanded to Madikeri and Kundapura. He emphasised that promoting public transport and increasing ridership remain top priorities.





The minister added that Karnataka State Road Transport undertakings continue to be at the forefront of implementing innovative services. In recognition of these initiatives, the Government of India recently awarded Mysuru city for its excellence in voice-resonance initiatives.
The Flybus network currently operates on 13 routes: nine to Mysuru, two each to Madikeri, Davangere, and Kundapura (during Ambari festival), with 44 daily trips covering a total of 10,240 km per day. The average fare per km is ₹90, and daily ridership averages around 1,050 passengers.
Bengaluru-Davangere flybus timings:
- From Bengaluru Airport to Davangere: 00:45 hrs → 05:45 hrs | 10:00 hrs → 15:00 hrs
- From Davangere to Bengaluru Airport: 08:00 hrs → 13:00 hrs | 17:00 hrs → 22:00 hrs
The route passes via Satellite Town Ring Road, Dodballapur Bypass, Dabaspet, Tumakuru Bypass, and Chitradurga Bypass. Two mid-route pickup and drop points at Tumakuru and Chitradurga enhance passenger convenience.
Fare details:
- Bengaluru Airport → Tumakuru: ₹400
- Bengaluru Airport → Chitradurga: ₹980
- Bengaluru Airport → Davangere: ₹1,250
Starting 15 November 2025, all flybus passengers will receive complimentary Nandini snack kits, including water bottles, flavored milk, cookies, cake, and packaged kodubale. The kits are branded with corporate information and QR codes for ticket booking.
