Bengaluru Teachers’ Constituency: Final voters’ list published with 18,496 electors

The final voters’ list for the Bengaluru Teachers’ Constituency has been published, with a total of 18,496 registered voters, Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Chief Commissioner and District Election Officer Maheshwar Rao said on Tuesday.

Addressing a meeting with representatives of various political parties at the GBA central office, Maheshwar Rao said the final list was prepared after due verification in accordance with the schedule issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The discussion focused on the preparation and revision of the electoral roll for the upcoming Karnataka Legislative Council election from the Bengaluru Teachers’ Constituency.

As per the ECI’s directive dated September 12, 2025, with November 1, 2025 as the qualifying date, the draft voters’ list was published on November 25, 2025. Following this, claims and objections were invited between November 25 and December 10, 2025.

After scrutiny of the applications received during this period, the final voters’ list covering 28 Assembly constituencies under the GBA jurisdiction was published on Monday. The final roll confirms 18,496 eligible voters for the Bengaluru Teachers’ Constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, R Ramachandran, Special Commissioner (Elections), said that eligible teachers who were left out during the final revision could still apply for inclusion in the voters’ list until the last date for filing nominations. He added that voter registration and updation is a continuous process.

Additional District Election Officers from Bengaluru Central, South, North and Urban divisions, representatives of political parties, and other officials were present at the meeting.
