BLR Habba 2026 opens in Bengaluru; CM Siddaramaiah inaugurates, full schedule here
Bengaluru:
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday kicked off BLR Hubba, Bengaluru’s flagship arts and culture festival, marking the start of a 10-day citywide celebration that will run from January 16 to 25, 2026.
Presented by JSW with support from the Government of Karnataka, BLR Hubba brings together theatre, music, dance, visual arts, films, heritage walks and food festivals across more than 20 venues in the city, including Freedom Park, Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bangalore International Centre, National Gallery of Modern Art, Alliance Française and Rangoli Metro Art Centre.
The festival, anchored by Unboxing BLR, a not-for-profit, features a mix of nationally and internationally recognised artistes alongside emerging practitioners, spread across curated segments such as Nataka Hubba (theatre), Nartisu Hubba (dance), Churumuri Hubba (music and film), Kala Hubba (visual arts), Thindi Hubba (food), Makkala Hubba (children’s programmes) and Rasthe Hubba, which will turn streets in neighbourhoods including Malleshwaram, Basavanagudi, Koramangala, Banaswadi and Richards Town into pedestrian-friendly cultural spaces.

Apart from stage performances, the schedule includes public art installations, film retrospectives on Bengaluru, guided heritage walks, workshops and discussions on urban futures. Several events will be ticketed, while many programmes—especially those in public spaces—will be free and open to the public.

According to the organisers, BLR Hubba aims to take arts and culture beyond conventional auditoriums and embed them in neighbourhoods and everyday public spaces across the city.

Event schedules are subject to change, and details on passes and updates are available on the festival website.
