Dharmasthala Crimes: ‘Arrested Bheema allegedly disposed Sowjanya’s body’

Highly placed sources in the State government informed blrpost.com that Bheema, who has now been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), is suspected of dumping the body of Soujanya, who was murdered in October 2012.
According to sources, when the SIT questioned him about Soujanya, he initially claimed he was on leave. However, he admitted that he had received a call from Dharmasthala at the time of the murder. “I was on leave, they called me. They asked, ‘Why are you on leave?’” he reportedly told investigators. Beyond this, he did not disclose further details.
The sources said that due to inconsistencies in his statement, the SIT arrested Bheema on charges of perjury. There is strong suspicion that he transported Soujanya’s body and disposed of it on the directions of his superiors. He may also have been involved in destroying evidence.
The sources further revealed that Bheema himself confessed to the illegal act in a video, which may be submitted to the SIT as evidence. If his role is confirmed, the SIT is expected to change the direction of the investigation, while also probing what compelled him to commit perjury. Perjury refers to lying under oath.
It may be recalled that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and later the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had probed the Soujanya case after the local police arrested Santosh Rao. However, in 2023, Rao was acquitted. While delivering the verdict, the court highlighted lapses by officials who may have been involved in destroying evidence.
Bheema was arrested on charges of perjury for lying under oath. The SIT has found multiple inconsistencies in his statements. He has also claimed to have buried autopsy bodies, but officials say those claims are not true.
Sources in the Home Ministry told blrpost.com that Bheema was interrogated throughout Friday, with questioning continuing until the early hours of Saturday. The SIT posed every possible question related to the case in an effort to unearth the truth. However, officials withheld further details in the interest of the investigation. The source confirmed that after prolonged questioning, Bheema was formally arrested.

I am a Hindu girl. I used to strongly support BJP and Modi, and I was always against Congress — but not anymore. When I say Justice for Soujanya and demand the truth, it does not mean I am blaming Dharmasthala. Dharmasthala is a Hindu temple. We worship our God there. I can proudly say that Dharmasthala Manjunathaswami is my God, and I truly believe in Him.
My point is about Soujanya — a young Hindu girl who was brutally raped and murdered. In this case, I don’t think I can support BJP anymore. BJP claims to be a Hindutva party, but because of money and power, a Hindu girl lost her life, and still there has been no justice. It has been 13 long years, yet no one has protested for her in the way they protest for other cases. Instead, they are mixing her murder case with the temple issue. But the real question is — where is the justice for Soujanya?
Even satellite news channels are not raising their voices for justice. Instead, they act as if they are part of the SIT, as if they are the judges, blaming anyone they want without evidence. They keep on posting baseless, bullshit news (especially in YouTube channels / satellite news channels). It is madness to watch. SIT and Parameshwar sir are still investigating, and they haven’t revealed anything about the case — yet these stupid channels are posting lies, making live news, and twisting facts like professionals at lying. The most irritating thing is hearing their line “balla moolagalinda banda Sudhi” again and again. Shame on that channels & people.
Earlier, I believed BJP and RSS would always deliver justice and protect dharma. I thought they stood for women’s safety. But I was completely wrong. Where was BJP when Soujanya was murdered? Now that SIT has been formed, why are they trying to suppress protests? Why are they spreading lies saying that the protestors are against Dharmasthala? The truth is — these protests are for Soujanya’s justice, not against any temple.
After seeing all this, I don’t think I will vote for BJP anymore. In Mangalore, if any election is conducted, my vote will go to NOTA. I still respect and support Modi as a leader, but in my state, I cannot support anyone. I believe Paramashwar sir took a bold step by forming the SIT, and I am proud of that.
The truth must come out soon, and Soujanya must get justice.

This case is very confusing and raises so many questions about Sowjanya’s murder. **Who killed her? Why was she killed? Why did no one see her kidnapping? Why did the High Court believe Santosh was not the accused? Why were all the evidence erased? Was Santosh a powerful person who could manipulate the IO (Investigating Officer) and doctors? Does he know how to destroy the vaginal swab?
