Foreign national arrested for peddling MDMA in Bangalore
The Narcotics Control Unit of the Central Crime Branch (CCB), in coordination with the Avalahalli Police, arrested a foreign national on charges of peddling illegal narcotics. The arrest was made after 600 grams of white MDMA crystals, worth ₹12 crore, were seized from the suspect’s possession.
Following a tip-off, CCB officials filed a case at the Avalahalli Police Station on June 12 and raided a house in K. Dommasandra village. The accused, whose identity has not been disclosed, was caught with the banned substance.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to purchasing the drugs at a low price from unknown individuals and selling them at a marked-up price for illegal profits. After spending three days in police custody, the accused was presented before the court on June 16 and remanded to judicial custody.
The operation was carried out by a combined team from the CCB’s Narcotics Control Unit and Avalahalli Police. Further investigations are ongoing.
