Dharmasthala

A 42-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh was found dead in an under-construction inventory room of the Dharmasthala temple, according to Unnatural Death Report (UDR) data. The woman was identified as Chandramma.

It should be noted that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the mass burial case is also investigating missing persons cases linked to Dharmasthala village and other unnatural death reports.

In this particular case, the UDR registered by the Dharmasthala police does not specify the reason for death but merely states that an Andhra woman died by hanging. (The word “hanging” is used here as mentioned in the report.)

Blrpost.com has also obtained a photograph that shows a saree was used to end her life. The SIT must probe why this woman from Andhra Pradesh travelled to Dharmasthala and why she specifically chose the temple’s inventory room to die by suicide. Was she working in Dharmasthala village, or had she arrived there as a pilgrim? The SIT must trace her family members to understand her condition at the time of travel and death.
