Major Arterial Road between Magadi and Mysuru highway to be completed by Jan 2026
Bengaluru
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) said the Major Arterial Road (MAR) that cuts through Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout (NPKL), a key connector between Magadi and Mysuru access-controlled highway, is scheduled for completion by January 2026.
This was said in a notification issued in a daily English news papaer on Tuesday. The notification was issued to inform about status report of NPKL and warn the allottees about misuse of BDA by a private association.

According to the BDA, approximately 76% of the 2,800-acre development in NPKL has already been completed. Remaining works in the developed area—including asphalting, street lighting, and cable laying—are expected to be finished by March 2026. Development on the remaining 1,064 acres is under litigation and will be carried out once BDA gains possession, with projected completion by October 2026.

It is further stated that 11-km MAR between Magadi and Mysuru access-controlled highway is intended to be completed in January 2026. This is also part of NPKL project. Earlier the BDA had fixed November 2025 deadline for the completion of road.
The authority has initiated weekly progress review meetings every Wednesday at 3:00 PM at its Board Room, where interested site allottees can register via the BDA helpline (94831 66622) to track ongoing work. Additionally, the West Zone Open House Meeting, held monthly on the fourth Thursday at the BDA Head Office, allows citizens to voice grievances and suggestions.
BDA also issued an advisory warning allottees against unauthorized associations claiming to represent the authority. Citizens are urged to rely only on official BDA channels for authentic updates and information. Grievances reported through official channels are promised resolution within 30 days.
