Kodigehalli police have registered the case of unnatural death
Man found dead on airport road; police suspect suicide
A 22-year-old accountant working at a private firm was found dead in a suspected case of death by suicide near the Kempegowda International Airport road, close to the Mall of Asia, in the early hours of Monday.
The deceased, identified as Muniraj, was a resident of Shivashankar Layout in Hebbal. According to police sources, Muniraj had left his home on Sunday evening, telling family members that he was going to meet friends. His two-wheeler (registration number KA 04 JV 2221) was later discovered parked on the elevated section of the airport road.
Police suspect that Muniraj may have jumped from the elevated stretch around 12:30 am. His body was spotted by passersby, who immediately alerted the Kodigehalli police. The body was later shifted to Baptist Hospital for post-mortem examination.
While officers suspect suicide, the exact motive behind the act remains unclear. A case of unnatural death has been registered by the Kodigehalli police, who are also reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to determine the sequence of events. Further investigation is underway.
