BMRCL said the agreement forms part of its broader strategy to enhance non-fare revenue streams and strengthen the long-term financial sustainability of the Metro network.

As part of the arrangement, Prestige Group will undertake approved finishing and enhancement works within the station premises to improve passenger amenities and interior standards. The company will also be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the station in coordination with BMRCL, adhering to prescribed safety and design norms.

Officials clarified that the station will remain a public asset under BMRCL’s ownership and operational control at all times.

Commercial Rights and Connectivity

The agreement provides for: Station naming rights Limited interior advertising rights of up to 1,000 sq ft and allocation of 3,000 sq ft of commercial space within the station premises.

It also includes a provision for an exclusive pedestrian bridge linking the station to nearby developments, subject to regulatory approvals and payment of the additional ₹10 crore. Design provisions for such connectivity have already been incorporated at the planning stage to ensure future feasibility.

BMRCL officials described the partnership as a milestone in leveraging private participation to augment metro infrastructure without compromising public ownership or operational integrity.

Commenting on the development, Mr Juggy Marwaha, representing Prestige Group, said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Bengaluru’s urban mobility infrastructure and enhancing commuter experience, particularly in fast-growing transit-oriented development zones.
