The Bangalore Golf Club (BGC), one of the oldest golf clubs in India, announced the results of its 148th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) elections held on June 30, 2025.

Ravi Kumar Raju has been elected as the new Captain of the club, securing 499 votes against S K Raghunandan, who received 205 votes. The position of Captain saw active contestation, with Raju emerging as the clear winner.

According to the sources, the anger against the old committee for alleged mismanagement has led to the thumping victory of Raju and the members are expecting that he would discharge his duties responsibly. A member talking to BLR.POST said “Raju is very much capable of leading the club and is always a good choice.”

Other key positions were filled unopposed. Anand Srinivasan was elected as the Honorary Secretary and B K Subbaiah was elected Honorary Treasurer. Both were elected unopposed. Apart from Srinivasan, all are fresh faces in the Management Committee.

In addition, five members were appointed unopposed to the Club’s Committee

          Arjun P. Tallam

          Dheemanth. N. Yadurappa

          B P Mahesh

          Porithosh Shetty

          Ravi Venkatesh

The new leadership is expected to carry forward the legacy of BGC with renewed focus on club activities, member engagement, and infrastructural development.
