Karee Gowda appointed CEO of Bengaluru Solid Waste Management

The Karnataka government has appointed Karee Gowda, IAS, as the new Chief Executive Officer of Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited. Gowda, who was serving as Zonal Commissioner (Yelahanka) in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), will assume charge with immediate effect.
The appointment comes as part of an administrative reshuffle, with Harish Kumar K, IAS, the outgoing CEO, being transferred to the post of Special Commissioner (Finance), BBMP (full time). Kumar was earlier given additional charge of finance.
The notification, issued by T. Mahanthesh, Under Secretary to Government, Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (Services-1), stated that the changes were made by the order and in the name of the Governor of Karnataka.
