The 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) was inaugurated on Tuesday at Jacaranda Hall, Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
After the launch Siddaramaiah addressed an audience of dignitaries, global investors, industry leaders, innovators, academics, and government officials.
Describing the summit as Karnataka’s flagship global celebration of technology, innovation, and future-thinking, CM highlighted the theme of this year’s edition: “Futurise: To shape the unknown, scale the unimaginable and shift the world forward.”

The three-day event (18–20 November) will host over 600 global speakers, 1,200+ exhibitors, and 60+ country delegations, covering nine defining tracks at the frontier of global innovation.
Emphasising Bengaluru’s evolution from the Silicon Valley of India to a global innovation epicentre, Siddaramaiah highlighted Karnataka’s robust knowledge ecosystem, which includes 85 universities, 243 engineering colleges, nearly 1,800 ITIs, and premier institutions such as IISc, IIM-B, IIIT-B, NCBS, and NIMHANS. The state contributes 42% of India’s IT exports, accounts for 47% of national startup funding, and hosts over 550 Global Capability Centres.
In a historic move, Karnataka launched three transformative policies during the summit: the Information Technology Policy 2025–2030, the SpaceTech Policy 2025–2030, and the Startup Policy 2025–2030. The policies aim to position the state as a global hub for innovation, deep-tech, and space technology, while enabling the creation of 25,000 startups over the next five years.
CM Siddaramaiah reaffirmed Karnataka’s commitment to inclusive growth, future-ready infrastructure, and fostering cutting-edge research in AI, quantum technologies, biotech, space, and deep-tech. He urged innovators, researchers, investors, and students to join the state in shaping a transformative, humane, and globally impactful technological future.
