35-year-old woman murdered at her residence in Bengaluru

A 35-year-old woman, identified as Pramoda, was allegedly murdered at her residence in the Bommanahalli police station limits on Sunday night. The Bommanahalli police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against unknown persons and begun a probe.

Initial investigation suggests that the woman was alone at the time of the murder, and the killer or killers used a knife to stab Pramoda to death. The police are yet to determine the motive and identify suspects.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South East, Sarah Fathima, told blrpost.com that the woman was married and had a 16-year-old daughter. “At the time of the incident, she was alone at the house,” Fathima said.

Fathima added that more details would emerge only after the investigation. When asked whether Pramoda was living with a different man to whom she was not married, she said this could also be confirmed only after the probe.
