IAS officer Karee Gowda given additional charge as BBMP Special Commissioner (Projects)

IAS officer Karee Gowda, who heads the BBMP’s Yelahanka zone, has been posted as Special Commissioner (Projects) with the responsibility to oversee projects across the city. He will continue to be the zonal commissioner of the Yelahanka zone.

The posting is an internal arrangement after the state government transferred Avinash Menon recently without posting his replacement.

Besides being in charge of projects and the Yelahanka zone, Karee Gowda is also the head of the TDR and Land Acquisition wing of the BBMP. He is also overseeing the anti-encroachment drive in the Nagawara area in connection with the Manyata Tech Park flooding.
