Energy Minister K J George has directed officials to fast-track various development projects in his Sarvagnanagar constituency to ensure timely completion. Conducting an on-ground review on Thursday, the minister emphasised the need for swift action in delivering essential infrastructure to all sections of society.

George began the day by inaugurating a newly renovated crematorium attached to the Masjid-e-Umar Bin Khattab in Umar Nagar on Nagawara Main Road. He then inspected white-topping and footpath works at key stretches including Nagawara Main Road, Govindapura Road, Hennur Main Road, and Nehru Road. He also reviewed operations at the HBR Layout waste transfer center.

Later, in a meeting with officials, George said, “several infrastructure projects are underway in Sarvagnanagar. These need to be completed quickly to ensure public convenience. The focus remains on delivering basic amenities to all communities without delay.”

He also inaugurated the newly opened “Brew La Paxi Café” in Kalyan Nagar, underscoring support for local businesses.

At the crematorium inauguration, George reiterated his inclusive vision for the constituency. “Sarvagnanagar is a microcosm of India, housing people from all communities. Our effort is to turn it into a garden of peace and harmony by ensuring equal infrastructure development,” he said.

Taking a swipe at divisive rhetoric, George added, “the Congress government believes in equality. Unfortunately, some forces are trying to disrupt communal harmony. We must collectively resist them.”

Several Congress leaders and officials were present during the minister’s visit. Residents also used the occasion to voice grievances, seeking redressal through the minister’s intervention.
