‘Chinnayya cheated Soujanya activists, took advantage of fight for justice’
Belthangady
Chinnayya, also known as Bheema and accused in the Dharmasthala mass burial case, allegedly cheated Soujanya activists and exploited their fight for justice, a source in the Home Ministry familiar with the investigation told blrpost.com. He is now caught in the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT) net with no escape route.
Chinnayya was arrested on August 23 and is currently in SIT custody. He faces charges of perjury and forgery of evidence related to a skull he presented before the magistrate.
According to the source, after approaching the activists under the guise of helping them, Chinnayya carefully studied their efforts and expectations. Although the activists knew he had been involved in illegal burials, he encouraged them by promising to speak out and support them in the legal battle. He even sought money from some activists, citing loans and financial difficulties. Trusting his words, they gave him funds—₹60,000 via UPI and about ₹1.5 lakh in cash.
The source further revealed that SIT suspects Chinnayya was simultaneously in touch with members of the institution accused of conducting mass burials. This angle is now under investigation. The source also said Chinnayya may have misled the Assistant Commissioner (AC) about certain burial sites. For instance, at the sixth site where skeletal remains were recovered, he claimed the body was not buried by him. Similarly, the 11A site was not identified by him but by his brother, Thanasi.
The source added that on the night before the 11A site excavation, Chinnayya met his brother. Thanasi informed him about the location, and Chinnayya presented it as his discovery. This raises doubts about the accuracy of the first 13 spots marked by the AC in the presence of SIT—suggesting he may have been coached by outsiders or possibly someone within SIT.
The source also said that while staying at Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi’s house, Chinnayya had access to all facilities, including a mobile phone. Yet, during SIT interrogation, he claimed he was kept under house arrest. The source suggested he may have acted as a double agent, deceiving activists while serving other interests.

You cannot cover up a mass killing and burial by making Chinnaya a liar. He has done a great job of whistleblowing. Pandora’s box is opened. Chinnaya is a small fraction and an iceberg. This time, the Dharmasthala administration cannot escape from its atrocities and crimes. Millions and billions now know the truth.
1. If so why didn’t SIT introgate chinnaya’s brother ?
2. Why are they not taking the villagers accountable in this case ? When they have agreed to show the burrial.
3. Why harshendra is not being introgated whe he is accused
4. Why land records not been verified ?
5. Why panchayat UDF forgery not been verified.
Looks like based on media trail the government is planned to favour the Dharmadhikari and his family.
See there are 4 IPS officers and many SI officers involved..do you think all 4 IPS officers and SI officers will be working on Chinnaya,,,they will be working on other missing cases…which these satellite news channel will not show because these channels need the SIT to be closed…see now it is established that Uday Jain was in contact with Chinnaya..what does this tell…Chinnaya was playing double game all along..he was in contact with powerful people and doing as they instructed….showing all wrong burial ,locations..their plan was to put all the blame on activists..lets wait for the SIT report…i think the powerful ppl are in trouble…
Absolutely! Unfortunately for the temple administration, everything they do backfires, and so it might favor justice for the victims—both dead and alive. Now, it is the general public like us who are the soul of justice, and the authorities have already proven that they are loyal to power rather than to the truth. They are trying to make the whole situation into fiction and nothing more.
