‘Accused Chinnayya named Nirmalananda Swamiji in second 183 statement’

Chinnayya, an accused in the Dharmasthala mass burial case, has named Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji of the Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Mutt in his second statement recorded before the Belthangady magistrate under Section 183 of the Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
The revelation was made by advocate Deepak Khosla during the hearing of a petition filed by Soujanya activists before the Karnataka High Court seeking to quash FIR No. 39/2025, registered at Dharmasthala police station.
During the proceedings, Justice Mohammad Nawaz asked Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) B N Jagadish whether the Special Investigation Team (SIT) would summon all persons involved in the case, as it had summoned activists earlier. The SPP replied in the affirmative.
At that point, Khosla remarked, “Chinnayya has named Nirmalananda Swamiji in the second 183 statement — will the SIT summon him as well?” Khosla, who appeared for YouTuber Abhishek, supporting the petitioners, mentioned the seer’s name at least four times during the hearing.
A highly placed source in the Home Department told blrpost.com that Chinnayya had met the seer at the math in Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district, and images accessed by blrpost.com corroborate this meeting.
According to the source, Chinnayya visited the mutt on his own, where he met Soujanya activists and, in the presence of the seer, allegedly spoke about the illegal burials — the same account he gave in his first 183 statement. This reportedly made the activists believe his claims.
It may be recalled that the High Court on Thursday stayed FIR 39/2025 in the Dharmasthala case. The next hearing is scheduled for November 12. Chinnayya, who was the complainant in the case, was arrested by the SIT on August 23 on charges of perjury. The SIT was constituted on July 19 to probe the allegations.
Disgusting! People will never forgive you Pranab Mohanty and your team! Never! Now the picture of SIT is very clear. Pranab Mohanty on who people, activists kept faith and hope for justice, now let down. His reputation now proved to be fake?! Chinnayya’s statements included few big names or the some names connecting to Dharmasthala Temple administration.Who’s boss of this temple administration ? SIT has no courage to issue notice and investigate them ‘thoroughly’! Resign and do job like a common man if you don’t have courage to do justice to your positions?! Why didnt Pranab Mohanty’s SIT never touch this route ?!?SIT investigation remained only on the side of complainants and activists!. Instead of bringing out truth from Chinnayya , he was made accused! What kind of investigation is it?! This is extended part of “coverup” that local police, CoD, and CBI carried out in every case in Dharmasthala . Courts have slapped the investigating officers for doing this kind investigation in case of Soujanya. These officers sitting in power and their handlers in the govt are shameless who failed to bring out truth and justice for victims who’re raped, murdered in Dharmasthala. Are you going to live here forever? Lord Manjunatha Swamy will punish each and everyone who’re part of each and every crime in dharmasthala and the coverup machinery. Karna will bite you one day! We should have trusted late Ganapathy’s wife when she was against the SIT and the man who is leading. Now the colours seems to be out.
