Bengaluru’s Tunnel Road tender gets fourth extension amid design revisions
Bengaluru:
The tender submission deadline for Bengaluru’s ambitious 16.75-km North–South Tunnel Road project has been extended for the fourth time, marking yet another delay in the city’s most high-profile traffic decongestion initiative.
In a fresh Corrigendum-07, issued by Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Limited (BSIL), the new deadline for bid submission has been extended from October 31, 2025, to November 15, 2025.
The ₹17,800-crore project proposes twin-tube underground corridors linking Hebbal and Central Silk Board, with 16 entry and exit ramps. Envisioned under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the government expects 60% private investment.
Officials said the latest extension follows “requests from participating bidders” who sought additional time to finalise their submissions, reflecting ongoing interest from large infrastructure firms despite the project’s complexity.
